Big Brother 28 Is Back — And the Showmances Are Already Starting

Reality TV’s most romantic competition is back for Season 28, and within 48 hours of the cast entering the house, the first showmance had already exploded. Big Brother 28 airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8/7c on CBS — and if night two is any indication, this season is going to be wild.

Dee Valladares — Single & Ready

Relationship Status: Single

Survivor 50 winner and first HOH of the season, Dee is no stranger to a showmance. She dated fellow Survivor castaway Austin Li Coon during Season 45, but the two split after the show aired. She’s entered the BB house single — and fans are already shipping her with ally Barrett. Watch this space.

Rick Devens — Married & Devoted

Relationship Status: Married

Survivor veteran Rick Devens is happily married to wife Becca, and the couple have two kids — Juliet (Juju) and Jack. Rick famously gathered the entire BB28 cast to sing Happy Birthday to his daughter just days into the game, and the moment went viral. He’s not here for a showmance — he’s here for $750,000.

Angela Murray — Married and Back for Revenge

Relationship Status: Married

Big Brother 26 villain Angela Murray is back — and she’s leaving her Utah home and her husband Chuck (and their daughter Lexi) behind for another shot at the crown. In 2025 she called Chuck the man who “never left my side, supports my crazy dreams and encourages me every day.” No showmance for Angela — just gameplay.

Lyric Medeiros — Single… And Already in a Showmance

The 25-year-old attorney and American Idol Season 21 alum from Honolulu told Parade she was “absolutely open to a showmance” — and she proved it on Night 2, making out with Rome Seymour in the bunkbeds. That might be the fastest showmance in BB history. Her father is singer Glenn Medeiros, so clearly she has a flair for the dramatic.

Rome Seymour — The Other Half of BB28’s First Showmance

Rome wasted absolutely no time. Day 2 and he’s already locked lips with Lyric Medeiros. Fans of the live feeds were treated to the moment as it unfolded, and the internet has been buzzing ever since. The question now is: will this showmance survive the game?

Chuk Anyanwu — Single Corporate Weapon

Relationship Status: Single

The 27-year-old supply chain analyst from Dallas has been very open about being single — he literally captioned a WFH Instagram video: “In your 20’s, no wife, no kids, so you’re becoming a corporate weapon.” Charming, funny, and single. Who says a corporate baddie can’t fall in love in the BB house?

Melody Morris — Single But No Showmance

Relationship Status: Single

The 24-year-old corporate game show host from Colorado is firmly anti-showmance. She told Parade: “I’m not open to showmances. I think they’re a bad idea, especially for a little blonde girl like me.” Fair enough, Melody. Play the game.

Drew Campbell — Young, Single, and Open to It

Relationship Status: Single

At just 22, Drew is the youngest houseguest this season and a Beast Games veteran. He told Parade with a grin: “I feel like my mom would be happy if I came home with the girl, even if I didn’t come home with the win. So, am I gonna say no? No. I’m gonna say maybe.” Love it.

Barrett Pfeiffer — Single, and Dee Is Watching

Relationship Status: Single

Fans have already started shipping Barrett with HOH Dee Valladares, and with both of them single and in an early alliance, the chemistry is something viewers are keeping a close eye on. Could BB28’s second showmance be brewing right under the surface?

LaTrice Verrett, Mallory Aurichio, Taylor Brown, Haley Thogmartin & Yash Patel

The rest of the cast appears to be largely single heading into the house. Taylor Brown’s relationship status is unclear (no public Instagram), but she told Parade she got into Big Brother after a “really bad breakup” in college — so she’s definitely bringing that energy into the house. As for LaTrice, Mallory, Haley, and Yash — all signs point to single and ready to play.
