Caught On Live Cameras? BB28’s Lyric Tells Rome “I Need to Have Sex!” on Live Cam — And CBS Cut Every Second of It

The BB28 showmance between Lyric Medeiros and Rome Seymour went from zero to X-rated in just two days — but the moment that sent fans into meltdown never made it to air. The live feeds caught what CBS didn't want you to hear, and the fallout is already dividing the house.

It’s Day 2 inside the Big Brother 28 house, and the showmance everyone is going to be talking about all summer has already arrived — fully formed, already explosive, and already making at least one of their bunkmates deeply uncomfortable. Lyric Medeiros and Rome Seymour got close fast. And then the live feeds caught the moment that CBS decided the world wasn’t ready for.

While Sunday’s episode gave viewers the PG version — a kiss in bed, some whispered compliments, a confessional meltdown — the live cam told a completely different story. In footage circulating among superfans, a shirtless Rome lies in bed with Lyric, the two of them pressed close together in the dark. And then Lyric says it, quietly but clearly: “Oh my God, are we going to make noises?”

And then: “What are we doing? I need to have sex!”

CBS cut all of it.

The Showmance That Started Before Anyone Even Unpacked

Lyric Medeiros is 25 years old, an attorney from Honolulu, Hawai’i, and the daughter of 80s pop star Glenn Medeiros. She also briefly competed on American Idol. Rome Seymour is 28, a pickleball coach from Traverse City, Michigan — and apparently the first person in the house who caught Lyric’s full attention.

It didn’t take long. On the premiere, Lyric was already spotted flirting with fellow houseguest Chuk Anyanwu, grabbing his bare bicep during a competition. But by night two, it was Rome she was sharing a bed with — and the chemistry was unmistakable even through the heavily edited broadcast version.

“You’re stunning from the moment I saw you,” Rome whispered as they lay together, both fully clothed. “It feels surreal,” she replied. “You’re so cute.”

Yash Had Enough and Got Out

The person paying the highest immediate price for this showmance? Yash Patel, the BB28 alternate who replaced evicted pre-season houseguest Levi Banks and moved in as their bunkmate.

When Lyric and Rome started kissing, Yash quietly exited the room — and then let the cameras know exactly how he felt about it. “Hello? I’m right here!” he told them, exasperated. “I know some people don’t care about PDA or doing things in front of other people, but I ain’t one of those people!”

The clip has since gone viral in BB fan spaces, with viewers split between laughing at Yash’s very reasonable reaction and already shipping Lyric and Rome harder than any showmance since the last season ended.

Lyric Already Knows She’s in Trouble

To her credit, Lyric isn’t pretending she doesn’t see it. In a later confessional, she turned directly to the camera with the energy of someone who knows she’s about to get roasted by everyone who loves her.

“Lyric, what are you doing?!” she said to herself. “You’re stronger than this. Also, my grandparents are watching this!”

Is BB28 Already the New Love Island?

This isn’t the first time Big Brother has leaned into its romantic subplot. Last season, the showmances were everywhere — and not always in a good way. Katherine Woodman and Rylie Jeffries sparked controversy when Rylie’s jealous and controlling behavior toward Katherine was caught repeatedly on camera. The pair broke up months after filming ended.

Vince Panaro and Morgan Pope were caught packing on PDA throughout their stay — despite Vince having a serious girlfriend, Kelsey, back home. After filming, a source confirmed that Kelsey forbid Vince from ever speaking to Morgan again.

If Lyric and Rome are already at this stage two days in, BB28 is going to be a very long summer. The live feeds are watching. And the fans? They’re not missing a second of it.
