Big Brother 28: Drew Spills Jason’s Plans To Devens

Big Brother 28 Shock is already turning the house upside down, and Jason’s move against Rick Devens has left the new cast looking more divided than ever.

The Big Brother 28 houseguests have barely had time to settle in, but the tension is already climbing fast. With big personalities like Angela Murray, Rick Devens, and Dee Valladares in the mix, friction was always likely. Even so, the new players are clearly not thrilled about sharing the spotlight with established reality TV veterans.

For the most part, the newbies have kept their moves quiet. Jason, though, is making it clear he is not on board with the veterans’ side of the house. He wants Devens out early, and his issue seems to go beyond simple strategy. Jason appears frustrated that Devens is taking up too much attention — and he is not hiding it well.

On Sunday, Jason told Melody and Drew exactly how he sees Devens in the game. According to Jason, America already loves Devens and Angela, which makes them dangerous fan favorites. He even suggested Devens could be viewed as America’s Favorite Dad. Jason also complained that Devens has been borrowing his jokes and trying to become the season’s main entertainer. On top of that, Jason seems to be worried Devens could end up as a serious contender for America’s Favorite Houseguest.

Jason has not stopped at private comments. He has also been telling other players that Devens is firmly in his crosshairs. He even admitted he is being extra pleasant to Devens in order to keep him comfortable. That calculated friendliness looks especially pointed now, since Devens is currently a Have-Not and his daughter’s birthday was approaching.

Jason’s attempt at damage control included making Devens some slop treats, and that gesture hit harder than expected. Devens became emotional, while Dee remains tied to multiple alliances. Still, the clearest game connection on their side appears to be Angela, Drew, and Barrett.

Drew and Barrett also seem the most loyal to this arrangement because they have been more willing to share information with the group than with outsiders trying to pull them in. On Monday, Drew began relaying to Dee, Angela, and Devens what Jason had told him about targeting Devens so aggressively.

Angela was furious that Jason seemed to be using Devens’ emotions against him as part of a game plan. She understands the strategic side of Big Brother, but she was not comfortable with personal details being pulled into the attack. Devens felt the same way, and the whole situation only reinforced how hard this new cast is willing to play. By sharing the information, Drew may have strengthened trust with Dee and Devens, who now appear more willing to believe him.

Angela still has some concerns, but for now she is choosing to trust him. Barrett has also been told about Jason’s plan to backdoor Devens and turn the move into a major statement.

At this point, Devens, Dee, Drew, Barrett, and Angela no longer trust Jason. Even so, Jason still seems to have support among several of the newer houseguests. If they decide to come for him in the coming weeks, he may still have room to recover — but only if the house does not turn on him first.

LaTrice, Rome, Melody, Lyric, and even Dee to some extent still seem willing to work with Jason. The real question now is whether Drew’s decision to reveal Jason’s plan, or Jason’s own loose talk, ends up blowing up his game far earlier than he expects.
