Joe feels guilty about leaving her and even offers to cancel his stag do so that he can spend the evening with her.

Fortunately, Viv Hope’s victim impact statement helped persuade the judge to show Nicola some leniency. Rather than receiving a prison sentence, she was given probation.

With that obstacle finally behind them, Nicola and Jimmy returned to the village and got married.

Years later, Nicola wants to celebrate everything they have survived together. When she raises the possibility of renewing their vows, Jimmy agrees, creating the possibility of a touching second wedding.

But in Emmerdale, happiness is rarely allowed to last.

Jimmy is reportedly preparing to make an important business decision without telling Nicola, and if she discovers that he has kept significant information from her, another conflict could erupt between them.

Even more worrying are reports suggesting that Jimmy could be heading toward a devastating exit.
