The houseguests have barely been in the game for a little over five days, but Big Brother 28 is already moving at full speed. If you missed any of the action since Thursday night’s premiere, this weekend’s early spoilers fill in the gaps and show just how quickly the season is heating up.

Because the unusual Head of Household competition only featured three of the season’s 17 houseguests, it never even made Thursday’s episode. Viewers had to wait for Friday’s Unlocked broadcast, which finally kicked things off before ending on yet another cliffhanger. The good news? The outcome was already locked in before the season even started, so let’s break it all down and get you fully caught up.

Head of Household:

By the end of Unlocked, Dee Valladares had emerged from the jungle to replace Rachel Reilly after her dramatic tumble into the volcano. Dee joined Rick Devens and Angela Murray as this season’s stunt-casting houseguests, and one of them would walk away with the new HOH in a puzzle showdown.

In the end, Dee came out on top. Viewers will see the full fallout on tonight’s episode of BB28, but it looks like Devens’ side likely finished last, since those five houseguests ended up in the Have-Not room. And calling that “sleeping” may be generous given the brutal setup they’re dealing with this summer.

Nominations:

Dee took a surprisingly diplomatic route with her nominations. She selected one houseguest from each of the three HOH-comp groups, even though they were barely functioning as actual teams. She even pulled in someone from her own group, making the move feel a little more calculated than personal.

The nominees were eventually revealed to be Mallory, Taylor, and Yash. That confirmation came when the live feeds went live on Friday night after Unlocked, turning an already chaotic evening into a packed one for fans.

Power of Veto Comp:

The feeds went dark for nearly four hours on Saturday, and that timing makes sense: it was the first veto competition of the season. Early-season comps often run long because houseguests are still settling into the format, trying to understand the process while under pressure.

With three people on the block, Mallory quickly became the house’s biggest target. But in a major setback for the week’s plans, she saved herself by winning the Power of Veto. That leaves Yash and Taylor still on the block, while Dee now has to make a tough replacement nomination.

Veto Ceremony:

So who gets pulled into danger when Mallory inevitably takes herself off the block on Monday afternoon? The feeds were buzzing late Saturday into the night, and Dee seemed to be leaning toward using Ashley as her replacement nominee.

Why Ashley? She doesn’t appear to have many solid connections in the house, which would make next week easier for Dee to manage if Ashley ends up leaving. Still, the situation doesn’t sound settled just yet, and another name may end up being the preferred option by the time the ceremony is over. Will Yash still be the target when Thursday arrives? And don’t forget: the Block Buster could scramble everything again on the live show.
