Big Brother’s Chuk slams ‘disgusting’ and ‘insane’ co-star after shock eviction
CHUK Anyanwu may be out of the Big Brother house – but he is leaving behind some strong fighting words about the woman who sent him packing.
The 27-year-old Dallas native was evicted during Thursday night’s episode in a stunning 9-1 vote, with his closest ally, Haley Thogmartin, being the only one who wanted to keep him.
His exit came after LaTrice “LaLa” Verrett won the Head of Household competition and nominated Chuk, Haley and Barrett for eviction.
Now, in a new interview with Parade, Chuk is taking aim at LaLa, 57, and making it clear that their relationship had deteriorated well before she ultimately put him on the block.
When asked about calling LaLa “delusional” in the Diary Room this week and saying her gameplay “disgusted” him, Chuk doubled down on the assessment, insisting that his time in the house had convinced him she did not understand how to play Big Brother.
“If you play the game with Lala and you’ve been there with her and you’ve been there in those moments, you have seen the way she plays the game,” he told Parade.

Chuk pointed specifically to the house’s infamous Tea Party, where LaLa wanted the houseguests to sit down together for a “truth circle” and reveal their secrets and alliances.
“Why would we do that?!” Chuk said, arguing that LaLa’s idea was fundamentally at odds with the deception required to survive the game.
He claimed LaLa repeatedly questioned how she was supposed to play Big Brother, which only reinforced his belief that she was out of her depth strategically.
“I’m like, ‘How are you asking how to play this game this far in?!’” he recalled.
“She just did not know how to play this game,” he said, adding that he believed LaLa wanted to assume the role of the house’s mother instead.
“She wanted to be the mom of the house, and she always would say, when she was on the block, she was like, ‘Why would someone want to put me, this old lady, on the block?’ This is the game!
“I was really disgusted by how she was trying to have a truth circle and not knowing how to play this game,” Chuk added.
When asked how he would describe his rival in one word, he fired off: “Insane. Just insane. Insane of a person. I’m mad that she got me out, but insane.”
The comments come after the contentious pair’s relationship soured in the Big Brother house, culminating in an icy goodbye.
Leading up to the BB Blockbuster challenge, Chuk claimed he had attempted to shake LaLa’s hand, but she bypassed it and instead wished his competitor, Barrett, good luck.
He also blamed LaLa for contributing to speculation that he and Haley were a showmance – something he noticeably resented.
“So I decided, ‘Hey, you know what? You didn’t shake my hand. I’m not even gonna hug you as I’m leaving,’” he confessed.
The remarks cap a particularly bruising week for Chuk, whose position in the game had once looked considerably stronger as part of the Red Corner and Toolshed alliances.
He had been closely aligned with Haley and Kamu and was part of the Red Corner with them, but Lyric Medeiros’ shocking eviction the previous week was the moment he realized people within his alliance were having conversations without him and that his standing had begun to crumble.
