Big Brother 28: The Best And Worst Moments Of Week 2
Big Brother 28 is officially into Week 3 and today the new Head of Household (check our spoilers if you’d like) will be naming their nominations, but before we get too deep into the third week of the game, let’s look at the highs and lows of Week 2.

CBS
The drama was high in Big Brother Week 2, as I’ll point out more in this post. And with one side continuing to hold all the power, we appreciate any drama that can actually ensue. And since there were some pretty disappointing moments than best this week, we needed that.
Worst: Devens Wins Head of Household
I know it was only week 2, but there’s nothing like a season of Big Brother when the power shifts from week to week. So a Devens HOH following Dee’s was just not what we were looking for. It’s too early to start using the word “steamroll,” but no one wants that to happen. Big Brother fans get fatigued very quickly, and one nothing kills fan momentum like one group holding all the power every week.
Best: Angela Gets a Punishment
I know fans voted for Angela to get a power, but since she’s in that group that has had HOH back-to-back, any extra power would just be excessive. So I am happy she ended up with the punishment costume. And seeing her walk around like a giant egg was very entertaining for the week.
Best: The Nomination Ceremony
I don’t know if it was the craziest in the history of the show as it was touted, but the Week 2 nomination ceremony was one for the history books. From Angela and Jason sparring to Rome and Haley butting heads, it was just classic Big Brother entertainment. And if you are a Live Feeds watcher, then you know that they actually turned the feeds back on while much of the drama was unfolding. That is very rare, so it was for sure a treat for the Live Feeders.
Best: Melody is Actually Playing Big Brother
Watching Melody try to stay safe this week was refreshing. Not many players at this point in the game are playing the game, but she really is. I am glad she ended up safe this week because we need someone from the other side of the house who is there to play.
Worst: Rome and Lyric “Break Up”
I don’t know if anyone really bought that whole pretend breakup, but Lyric sure acted the part. I am not going to elaborate on that, but she did a much better job than Rome did at making those shenanigans believable.
Worst: Devens Wins The Veto
Again, we don’t like when one group holds all the power. Big Brother should not be an easy ride for anyone. But it is what it is.
Best: Devens Puts Up Rome
I wanted to make this another worst post about Devens using the veto on Lyric. Because on paper, that was a dumb move. But it all worked out in the end, so I’ll call this a good move. Getting out a threat like Rome and breaking up a showmance early in the game is smart, which makes is completely bonkers how often that doesn’t happen. So Devens holding all the power last week might have been a bit boring, but he made a great move here.
Best: Jason Wins The Block Buster
I kind of wanted Rome to stay so he could possibly make the other side of the house sweat, but maybe Jason can do that. I am not a fan of how Jason has been playing the game, but he is for sure going to go after the right people if he gets into power. And he’s good at competitions. That’s his second win, counting the night one safety competition.
Best: Taylor Throws a Rogue Vote
I am not sure why Taylor voted for Melody to go, but I am always for a hinky vote. Lyric was seen defending herself after the vote, saying that wasn’t her. Hopefully Taylor holds onto that secret just so everyone will always wonder who that was. Lyric is the obvious choice, but Angela and Devens said they believed Lyric when she told them that wasn’t her.
