Big Brother 28 Spoilers: LaTrice Wins “The Wall” Endurance HOH Competition
Big Brother 28 delivered one of its most anticipated Head of Household competitions of the season as the houseguests faced the iconic “Wall” endurance challenge. Coming immediately after Lyric’s eviction, the competition gave the remaining players little time to recover before they were thrown into another high-pressure battle for power. By the end of the night, it was LaTrice “LaLa” who proved the toughest, outlasting the field to become the new Head of Household.
The Wall is one of Big Brother’s most recognizable endurance competitions. Houseguests stand on narrow platforms against a large vertical wall and must hold on as the structure repeatedly tilts forward. As the competition continues, Big Brother adds more punishment with water, paint, cold sprays and other distractions designed to wear the players down physically and mentally. The last houseguest remaining on the wall wins HOH and control of the next round of the game.
Outgoing HOH Haley was unable to compete, which left the rest of the house fighting for an especially important victory. The timing could not have been more significant, as the house had just come through an 8-3 eviction vote that sent Lyric home and exposed new divisions among the players.
The Wall Quickly Starts Taking Players Out
The competition began to thin out as the physical strain increased. Taylor was among the first players to fall, followed by Barrett and Devens. Dee was unable to hold on much longer, while Melody also eventually dropped after an already exhausting eviction night in which she had narrowly survived against Lyric.
Mallory continued deeper into the competition but eventually lost her grip, followed by Chuk and Yash. With several strong competitors now out of the running, the Wall came down to three houseguests: Drew, Kamu and LaTrice.
Drew’s performance was especially notable considering the night he had already experienced. He entered the eviction episode in serious danger, saved himself by winning the BB Block Buster and then immediately went on to make the final three of the HOH competition. His run finally came to an end when he slipped from the Wall, leaving LaTrice and Kamu to battle for the victory.
LaTrice and Kamu Battle to the Finish
With only two players remaining, the competition became a direct endurance showdown between LaTrice and Kamu. Both had already survived a long series of tilts and punishments, but neither appeared willing to give up control of the upcoming week. As the Wall continued to test their grip and stamina, the rest of the house could only watch and wait for one of them to fall.
Eventually, Kamu could no longer hold on, bringing the competition to an end and making LaTrice the final houseguest standing. The victory gave LaTrice her first Head of Household win and immediately placed her in one of the most powerful positions in the game.
LaTrice Wins The Wall
LaTrice’s victory was an impressive one. She managed to outlast nearly the entire house in a competition that requires sustained strength, balance and determination rather than a quick answer or lucky break. By staying on the Wall until every other competitor had fallen, LaTrice earned both safety and full control over the next set of nominations.
Her win was also historic. At 58 years old, LaTrice became the oldest non-celebrity Big Brother U.S. houseguest to win The Wall endurance competition, making an already important HOH victory even more memorable.
The reported finishing order placed LaTrice first, followed by Kamu in second and Drew in third. Yash, Chuk, Mallory, Melody, Dee, Devens, Barrett and Taylor were eliminated earlier, while Angela had reportedly already fallen before the live feeds fully returned to the competition.
The Timing of LaTrice’s Win Could Change the Game
The result could have major consequences for the Big Brother 28 house. Lyric’s eviction had already shown that several players were willing to break away from previous voting plans, and LaTrice now has the opportunity to take advantage of that uncertainty. With alliances showing signs of strain and trust becoming harder to maintain, her nominations could determine whether a new power structure forms or whether the previous majority manages to regain control.
Kamu’s second-place finish also puts her in an interesting position. She came extremely close to securing HOH herself, but instead she must now wait to see how LaTrice chooses to use her power. Drew, meanwhile, continues to build a reputation as a dangerous competition threat after surviving eviction and then nearly winning The Wall on the same night.
For LaTrice, however, the biggest challenge begins now. Winning the competition guaranteed her safety, but the decisions she makes as HOH could shape the next phase of the season. With several possible targets and a divided house, her nomination choices will reveal just how aggressively she plans to play.
After outlasting everyone on one of Big Brother’s toughest endurance challenges, LaTrice is now in control of the Big Brother 28 house.
