What’s a week in Big Brother without an attempt by an underdog group to keep the bigger target safe from eviction in hopes of a powershift in the game? Ahh yes, here we go in Week 3 of Big Brother 28 as Jason now sits on the Block but after the tea party debacle the tide is trying its best to shift.

Overnight talks stirred for Melody, Lyric, and Mallory that they might need to consider finding a way to keep Jason in the upcoming vote on Thursday night. Now hang on because right from the start there’s a challenge to that situation. Mallory. Mallory is currently on the Block and they’re talking about how to make sure Jason stays. So obviously the plan is to take out LaLa and the group concurs that while they like LaTrice, she isn’t going to be benefiting their game anytime soon.

So instead The Littles (Lyric, Mallory, and Melody) want to find a way to keep Jason after Mallory wins the Buster. Alternatively this whole discussion could be sidestepped if Jason wins the Block Buster but then they need to find a way to keep Mallory. And maybe that should be their real concern at the moment because that could be tougher than these ladies are admitting to themselves. Mallory has worried about the situation so she’s aware that a vote against LaLa may not go in her favor.

The conversation about keeping Jason really took hold with Mallory and Melody talking to Yash and Barrett. Yash likes the chaos of it and wants to have Jason to go after the trio of Chuk, Haley, and Kamu. Fair enough. They wonder if anyone will leak this talk as they’re not even telling Jason just yet. Well it didn’t take long before Barrett ran this back to Dee.

Barrett explains to Dee the strategy to keep Jason and aim him at The Littles’ targets, but he tells Dee that his worry is Dee could get caught in the crossfire. Dee says that she isn’t really with the Chuk, Haley, and Kamu group but just wants those three to think she is. Barrett admits he also would like to keep Jason for his potential to take out those targets, but he definitely does not sound convinced that it is a likely scenario.

So could this happen? Ehh, maybe but they’re going to need a lot more support. Barrett highlighted the idea of getting Kamu’s allies to turn on Kamu to vote and keep Jason just isn’t likely and I’d agree. It’s a long shot.

This coming Thursday there will be 12 votes which means a potential for a tiebreaker by Kamu and a need of SEVEN votes for this little plan to have enough strength to avoid Kamu altogether. So they would obviously start with Mallory off the Block and she would join Melody and Lyric for 3 votes. Yash for a fourth. If they’re optimistic then they’re thinking Barrett and Drew for the 5th and 6th votes leaving them needing one more. Taylor? I don’t think they’re getting Taylor to vote out her closer ally LaLa to keep Jason. Without her they then needed Angela, Dee, or Devens to flip against Kamu…

I just don’t see this happening for Jason, even as entertaining as it would be for us on the live show to get a blindside against Kamu and his Red Corner allies. Instead Jason is really going to need to get a second straight Block Buster win and that’s definitely in the cards for him. I could see that happening a little easier than The Littles gathering seven votes to keep Jason over LaLa.

What do you think? Is there any shot here for a vote flip in Week 3 to save Jason? Be sure to catch up with everything on Big Brother right now. Follow Newsora, come back here often for Big Brother spoilers, news and updates.
