Shocking Big Brother 28 Twist: Rachel Reilly Out, a Surprise Replacement Steps In

Shocking Big Brother 28 developments are already turning the season into a wild ride, and the latest twist has fans doing a double take. Rachel Reilly was removed from the game in the premiere, but the story was far from over.

Producers leaned all the way into the drama, first teasing Rachel’s return before sending her straight into a bizarre volcano scene where a dinosaur was suddenly to blame. Yes, really. It was the kind of over-the-top moment only Big Brother could pull off, and it instantly set the tone for the season.

Host Julie Chen Moonves then raised the stakes even higher, hinting that the show’s time machine twist would repair the chaos and make room for another player. That means a brand-new face is about to enter the BB28 house under some seriously unusual circumstances.

Fans will need to tune in to Big Brother: Unlocked on Friday at 8/7c on CBS, because that is when the mystery houseguest is expected to finally get screen time and the real reveal begins.

A new Big Brother 28 cast member

Dee Valladares is officially part of Big Brother 28, stepping in to replace Rachel Reilly.

Dee is no stranger to competition television. She won Survivor 45 and later joined the Survivor 50 cast, though her run ended early in the jury phase.

Now she is walking into the Big Brother house with a major edge over many of her fellow players, especially with the season already packed with twists, familiar faces, and shifting alliances.

Here is a link to the cast names and bios of the first 14 players. Those 14 houseguests are all new to the show, even though two of them come from the reality TV world.

On top of that, three reality TV veterans are already in the mix. Viewers have already met Angela Murray from Big Brother 26 and Rick Devens from Survivor 30 and Survivor 50.

So the real question is simple: will Dee, Angela, and Devens team up, or will this cast split into rival camps before the week even gets going?

Dee gets to play for Head of Household

Dee arrives later than the rest of the cast, but she gets an immediate shot at the Head of Household key. Along with Angela and Devens, she is one of only three people eligible to compete for that crucial power.

It is certainly not the fairest setup in the house, but it is exactly the kind of producer-driven advantage that helps the reality TV returnees survive the opening week.

Here is a link to spoilers about the first HOH winner. That power is already in play, and the next major reveal will be the eviction nominations — a detail that could send the Live Feeds into overdrive this weekend.

As a reminder, Dee’s entrance will be shown during the July 10 episode of Big Brother: Unlocked. After that, the Live Feeds open up, giving viewers their first real chance to see the BB28 cast in action.
