1. Maria confronts Sarah
Maria arrives in the prison visiting room for a showdown with Sarah. Although Sarah tries to keep up the pretence that she’s innocent, Maria shuts her down by revealing that she already knows everything.
It’s a tough moment for Sarah as Maria rebukes her for getting Gary involved in the murder cover-up. Maria points out that this could break up her family for good, but Sarah continues to promise that she’ll keep Gary’s name out of it, no matter what happens.
2. Sarah makes a life-changing decision
DS Lisa Connor-Swain pays a visit to Sarah at the police station to discuss a new clue in the ongoing investigation. She gets much more than she’d bargained for when Sarah finally confesses to Theo’s murder.
Lisa continues to suspect that Gary was also involved, but will Sarah confirm this or continue to protect him?
3. David and Shona’s happy day is overshadowed
David and Shona are overjoyed when they learn that Harper can finally be discharged from hospital.
The Platts hope this marks the fresh start they’ve been desperate for, but then news reaches them that Sarah has confessed to Theo’s murder.
4. Sam faces a big day too
Sam is also on the move, as the doctors have decided that he can come home following his mental health treatment.
Nick immediately worries about how honest he should be with Sam about Sarah’s predicament. Lying to Sam hasn’t worked out well in the past, so is honesty the best policy this time?
5. Jodie’s crime is exposed
With Jodie’s leverage now gone, Sarah decides to warn Kit about how dangerous the scheming newcomer is.
Kit is stunned when Sarah explains that Jodie was the one who attacked her. Can Kit bring the scheming newcomer to justice?

6. Eva and Maria’s feud is revisited
Maria drowns her sorrows at the Rovers following another difficult day. This leads to fresh tensions with Eva, who gets short shrift when she kindly tries to support her former love rival.
Later, back at the flat, will Maria decide to give Gary another chance after listening to Sarah’s side of everything, or will she turn her back on him for good?
