Jacob promises Sarah he’ll stop pressing her about Dr Todd’s death — and his kindness makes everything worse. Later, Charity sticks to her false version of events when questioned again, but how long can either of them keep this up?

3. Joe’s “Sten Do” Ruins Billy and Dawn’s Escape Plan

With Joe away at his stag do, Billy and Dawn see their chance to run — fake passports ready, bags packed. Then Graham shows up out of nowhere and takes them to a field. Joe has replaced the stag party with a joint “sten do” — one party for everyone. Billy and Dawn are visibly rattled, wondering whether Joe knows exactly what they’ve been planning.

4. Dawn’s Gun Moment Shocks Billy to His Core

The sten do includes a clay pigeon shoot. As tension mounts throughout the day, it’s Dawn’s turn to fire — and her aim drifts unmistakably toward Joe. 5. Ruby Schemes Against the Kings — and Uses Kev to Do It

Jimmy and Nicola are already worried about the B&B’s finances when things take a turn for the worse. Ruby has arranged for Kev to rob Jimmy’s van and steal his haulage shipment — her plan to push the Kings to the financial breaking point and force a sale. The heist works, even if the stolen loot turns out to be nothing but nappies. Kev feels played. And so he should.

6. Kev Destroys the Evidence

Ruby tries to keep Kev under her thumb by reminding him she has the CCTV footage proving he attacked Billy. Kev’s response: he smashes Caleb’s laptop and destroys the evidence himself. It’s a bold move — one that removes Ruby’s leverage but opens a whole new set of problems when the truth starts coming out in other ways.

7. Kev Gets Drunk and Tells Billy Everything

At the sten do, a drunk Kev approaches Billy and does the one thing nobody expected: he apologises for putting him in hospital. Billy is completely blindsided — he now knows that Kev was his attacker and that both Caleb and Ruby have been manipulating him all along. The revelation changes everything. Will he tell Dawn before the wedding?

8. Caleb Tightens His Grip

Caleb tells Billy he won’t hand over the fake passports until the morning of the wedding — his way of ensuring Billy and Dawn are trapped in the village long enough for him to use their exit as the ultimate weapon against Joe. And his plan continues to come together when Jimmy, unknowingly played for a fool, decides to sell his haulage business to Caleb and Ruby.

9. Nicola Gets Good News — But Jimmy Hides Something Worrying
