Big Brother 28 – Big Brother Gives Our Feeds Back Early!
Feeds went dark Thursday night and everyone knew going in they’d be gone until Sunday, which is a long time for this fandom to sit still. So they didn’t. By Friday the speculation was in full swing, and by Saturday morning it had gone completely off the rails. Someone swore they saw Angela at a gas station. Someone else had Dee at the airport. Neither of these people were in a position to see anything, but that has never stopped anybody. Then the Big Brother Twitter account joked that they’d broken into the house and would be flipping the feeds back on early, and sure enough the feeds came back Saturday evening, a full day ahead of schedule.
With the feeds now up, we can find out the current status of the house, and the very first thing anyone saw confirmed it: Haley’s cast photo had gone black and white. Haley is out. The house did not appear to be in mourning. Several people quietly noted that the vibe already felt lighter, which is the sort of thing you notice about a room only after a particular person has left it.
Before any of that reached the feeds, Devens had already floated himself as a pawn if it came to it, telling Barrett he wanted assurance they were “locked in,” which Barrett gave him without much hesitation. Dee, for her part, thought the idea was ridiculous, telling Devens flatly that it did not have to be him, though Devens seemed resigned to the math regardless. Later on, Dee and Angela spent some downtime doing couples counseling for ants, gently relocating an injured one from Dee’s coffee to a marching column so its friends could carry it off, which is either the sweetest or the most unhinged thing to happen in that backyard this season depending on your tolerance for insect welfare.
Once business resumed, Dee and Angela worked through the numbers together, landing on a shared preference to keep Yash around as a useful shield and to send Lala out instead, on the theory that Lala is simply the better competitor of the two women. Devens, walking through vote counts with them, laid it out plainly: three votes for Yash to survive, three against, and Drew breaking the tie. Whichever way you slice it, the tie breaker sitting with Drew this week is not a small thing, and multiple people in the house clocked exactly how much power that hands him.

Veto turned into a whole production, with six houseguests dressed for some kind of costumed comp theme that nobody could fully explain, matching suspenders and kerchiefs included, while Barrett hosted with the kind of enthusiasm normally reserved for infomercials, inviting everyone to the dining room time travel table to find out what year they were headed to. Zingbot also made an appearance somewhere in the mix, though as always the specifics stay locked away until the veto show airs, so consider that a preview rather than a report.
The actual competition, once it got going, moved fast. It sounds like the game was the seesaw shovel comp, and Yash tore through it. He won veto without dropping once, in what people are calling one of the quicker veto wins in recent memory, and it’s showing how much of a comp threat he is going to be moving forward. That’s an incredibly hard competition to never fall.
That conversation also revealed something quietly significant: Taylor and Melody are talking, working together, and seemingly comfortable doing it. Melody told Taylor she’d made clear to Drew that if she won veto, someone was coming down regardless, and the two of them agreed that getting an icon out this week would not really be Drew’s move at all, it would be theirs. Taylor also opened up a bit about her own headspace, saying she had mentally treated jury as a checkpoint because of how her anxiety works, but that with that milestone cleared she is now playing to win, not just to survive. Both she and Lala agreed, in their own ways, that they are not interested in handing anyone else the money at this point.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, Lala announced a new policy effective immediately: no more cooking for the house at large. She’s done being a communal chef for a group that, in her words, wants to be cliquey with information, so she is going to be cliquey with her food, limiting meals going forward to herself, Taylor, Yash, Melody, and Barrett. Taylor, hungry and diplomatically trying to keep the peace, pointed out she still has to eat, which did not move Lala even slightly. It is hard to argue with the logic of a woman on the block declining to cater for the people who might vote her out.
As of Saturday evening the board sits with Yash off the block, Taylor and Lala still up, and Devens the presumed renom pending Drew actually pulling the trigger, which given his week so far is not something anyone is treating as a guarantee.
