Nina’s final goodbye to Seb will break Corrie fans… but this may not be the end | Coronation Street
Coronation Street fan-favourite Nina Lucas is making her exit this week after seven years in Weatherfield, after having decided to move to Whitby to start a dream job at an art gallery.
In a newly released clip from tomorrow’s (30 August) rare Sunday episode, we see Nina sitting at the memorial garden for her boyfriend Seb Franklin, who was killed in a devastating hate crime storyline from 2021.
Seb’s mum Abi comes to join Nina, right as she’s listening to the same song she used to listen to with Seb.
Nina tries to apologise for being the one who survived while Seb died, but Abi won’t have it.
“No, no – don’t you ever say that. Don’t,” Abi says. “What happened, it happened. If I could go back in time, there’d be a lot of things I would do different, but not you. Not for one second.”

The two promise to never forget him, and after Abi leaves, Nina takes one last look at the memorial and says goodbye to Seb.
Nina actor Mollie Gallagher decided to leave the soap in order to make her professional stage debut in the UK and Ireland tour of Silence of the Lambs.
“It was a tricky one because I love Corrie so much,” Mollie told Digital Spy in an exclusive chat.
“It was a really hard situation, but as an actor, you do want to challenge yourself by trying new things. This new job is completely different because it’s theatre. It was sad – in an ideal world I’d be doing both, but that just wouldn’t work!”
Don’t worry though: The door is being left open for Nina to return, and Mollie has said that she’d love to come back some day.
