Where You’ve Seen ‘Survivor 51’ Cast on TV: ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘The Boys,’ WWE & More
Two actors and a pro wrestler are competing in Season 51.
Survivor has been known to cast celebrities on occasion, the most recent being Mike White in Survivor 50 and Jon Lovett in Survivor 47. Survivor has also turned some people into celebrities. When celebrities are cast, they’re usually alone. The Survivor 51 cast, however, has an actor who starred in the Queer as Folk reboot and was on Grey’s Anatomy, and another actor who was on The Boys and plays the voice of a famous animated character. There’s also a WWE wrestler, a baseball executive, and a social media influencer.
Here, we’re breaking down where you may have seen some of the faces of Survivor 51 on TV or social media before.
Devin Way

Way starred as Brodie Beaumont in Peacock’s Queer as Folk reboot, and he played Dr. Blake Simms in eight episodes of Grey’s Anatomy Season 16 in 2019/2020 (see below).
He also crossed over to Station 19 for an episode in 2020. Way played Jordan in Sistas and appeared in Based on a True Story and The Comeback Season 3.
Way said he wants to play Survivor because “there is nothing else like this in the world” and “it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play one of the best games in existence.”
Ana Sani
Sani played Anika in The Boys, appearing in five episodes total across Seasons 1 through 4.
Anika is the Almond Joy-loving character in the Crime Analytics division, first seen in the “Cherry” episode (Season 1 Episode 2), who quickly gives in to what Homelander (Antony Starr) wants. Anika was killed off in Season 4, when Homelander shot lasers through her head for withholding information about Starlight (Erin Moriarty).

Sani has a boatload of voice actor credits, including playing the voices of Strawberry Shortcake, Aunt Praline, and Custard in the Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City children’s animated series. She also does voice-over work on My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale and Work It Out Wombats.
Sani says that being an actor has prepared her for Survivor because it gave her a “really thick skin.”
“I’ve had extremely down moments, but I’ve always picked myself up,” Sani says. “I’ve created a career I’m really proud of, and that’s thanks to never giving up and always finding an alternative route. That’s what I intend to do on Survivor.”
Brady Booker
If you’re a wrestling fan, you may know Booker as Bodhi Hayward. He competed under that name on WWE NXT: Level Up and WWE NXT, and then as Brady Booker on AEW Dark and Ohio Valley Wrestling TV.
Booker says his wrestling job prepared him to play “because it involves long days, minimal sleep and food, along with being able to politick your own social game.”
While they haven’t appeared on TV, Mike Pinsky has a high-profile career as an executive for the New York Yankees. And Lewis Kelly, an Irish farmer living in Puerto Rico, is a social media influencer with over 80,000 followers.
Survivor 51 has 21 players total and premieres with a two-hour episode on September 23 at 8/7c on CBS.
