Three Big Brother houseguests who died after filming reality show – and how CBS honored the late contestants

FOR more than 25 years, hundreds of contestants have walked through the iconic doors of the Big Brother house, all chasing the chance to score the $750,000 grand prize.

While the long-running CBS competition has become known for blindsides, alliances and unforgettable reality TV moments, the Big Brother family has also endured heartbreaking loss.

Only three U.S. houseguests have died since appearing on the show since it premiered in July 2000.

The Big Brother fandom has experienced the tragic losses of Season 1 pioneer Cassandra Waldon, Season 2 fan favorite Kent Blackwelder and, most recently, Season 27 contestant Mickey Lee.
