As fans continue buzzing over Big Brother beauty Lyric Medeiros’ steamy relationship with fellow houseguest Jack “Rome” Seymour, those closest to her have been keeping a close eye on the action from home.
And while some fans have assumed her family would be horrified by the pair’s flirty PDA – which has dominated live feeds and social media since day two of Big Brother 28 – The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal Lyric’s loved ones are far from upset by the blossoming showmance.
A longtime friend of the attorney from Hawaii exclusively told The U.S. Sun that those closest to Lyric expected sparks to fly once she joined the CBS reality competition.
“Her family is not at all surprised or embarrassed about the PDA.
“They love that she has become a breakout star on the season and is getting so much attention,” Lyric’s pal spilled.

“They know that’s what Lyric wanted and they’re happy she’s making a name for herself.
“They know she’ll be happy when she gets out of the house that she resonated with so many people so that’s what they’re focused on.”
The source added that Lyric’s family even anticipated she’d end up in a romance inside the house.
“They knew she would probably go after a guy and I guess her family told her that she can kiss as much as she wants.”
However, there is apparently one vow the luau singer made to her loved ones before departing to the mainland for her reality TV adventure.
“They did ask her not to go all the way hooking up with a guy.
“She promised she wouldn’t, so let’s see if she keeps that promise. I think so far she has,” they added.
Lyric, 25, and Rome, 28, have quickly become Season 28’s most talked-about couple after growing increasingly close inside the BB house since only their second day of filming.
The pair have spent countless hours cuddling, flirting and kissing, with their affectionate moments becoming a regular feature on the live feeds and drawing plenty of attention from viewers online.
At one point, live feeds caught her straddling him in the storage closet and in other moments, cameras captured their rendezvous under the covers together.
While their chemistry is undeniable, the spark has also fueled speculation over whether their relationship will survive outside the game once the season comes to an end.
As Big Brother viewers have seen in the past, nearly all showmances, such as Rylie and Katherine or Lauren and Zach from season 27, crash and burn when the show concludes.

Away from Big Brother, Lyric already had ties to the entertainment world thanks to her successful family – making her no stranger to the spotlight.
Her father, Glenn Medeiros, rose to stardom in the late 1980s with his chart-topping cover of Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You, becoming a teenage pop idol around the world.
Years later, he left the entertainment industry and now works in the education field where his family resides in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The close-knit family, which also includes Lyric’s mom Tammy and her brother Chord, frequently appear together online – giving her followers a glimpse into their musical moments, vacations and everyday life.
Big Brother also isn’t Lyric’s first shot at fame.
She previously appeared on American Idol, where she showcased her singing talents while trying to launch a music career.
