Big Brother 28 Live Feeds: Houseguests React To Diamond Veto Fallout
Rick Devens did not back down today in the Big Brother 28 House as he delivered on his promise to “blow it up” with his Diamond Power of Veto. Awarded his power by way of the BB Time Capsule, Devens was able to cancel out one of Yash’s HOH Nominations and name his own replacement for the Block. And Devens swung for the fences on this one.
After Yash declined to use his Veto to keep his Noms just as they were during Monday’s Veto Meeting, Devens brought out his own Veto medallion, encrusted with shiny (not real) diamonds and placed it around Dee’s neck. We were only able to get a brief glimpse of the rhinestone’d DPOV when the Feeds returned, but what we did get was all the fallout.
Dee headed outside and declared it was a “beautiful day to be safe” as she headed over to thank Devens for saving her. They chatted and she shared her relief with him. Dee mentioned enjoying watching everyone pretend to be nice now. Devens figured they were pretty upset on the inside. Dee says she declined a high-five from Kamu and said they don’t have to pretend to be friendly. She says he got pretty upset with her pulling her hand away in a fake-out to him.
Feeds soon jumped over to Yash talking with Barrett and Mallory in Storage. Yash was already campaigning that if they could get the six votes then they’d solidly control the decision on Thursday night and could keep Kamu as a really strong ally. Yash was proposing FAP plus Taylor and Lala for the six votes there. Barrett was giving vague agreements but Mallory instead said she hadn’t talked to any of the Noms yet (hah, it’s been like 5 mins) so she couldn’t make a decision yet. Read the room, Yash!

Dee and Kamu talked for a bit back in the HN room. He was trying his best to schmooze her up for a vote he might need later this week. Dee says she was upset at him because after she told him about her power but he swore he didn’t tell anyone and definitely didn’t tell Yash. Sounds like that is Dee’s cover story for being upset with Kamu, but it’s likely more that they’re just on opposed sides of the House now.
Bit later Dee and Angela meet up in the bedroom. Angela notes that everyone was shocked but taking it pretty well. Dee declares she doesn’t want everyone to take it well! She wants to see fights! Hah!
Devens met up with Drew where he tried to coach Drew on how the pattern moved on the Time Capsule to help Drew prepare for likely getting the next chance on Friday. Drew shares that Yash thinks they have the votes to save Kamu and everyone is playing along with it for now. Drew is feeling good that this means either Haley or Kamu will definitely be gone this week. Drew doesn’t think they’re mad at Devens, but Devens says in this game they’re dead to him.
Next Devens goes to talk with Angela and make sure she’s feeling good and secure. He says he wanted to bring the seven together (The Mosh Pit alliance) before the Diamond Veto so he was sure they had the support to keep Angela after Dee came down. Angela thanks Devens and says she’ll be a shield for him.
Outside we heard from Taylor talking with Melody and Drew. She tells them that this wasn’t personal by Devens but she knows that the game is really on now after that move. Yep!
Overall the House was taking the Diamond Veto in stride. There weren’t any big blow ups, but the damage has been done. Kamu knows he is on the ropes but Yash seems blissfully unaware that he does not have the votes he thinks he could. Kamu will keep working on looking for support, but it’s just not out there. As of now, both Haley and Kamu are in big trouble while Angela has the votes to stay. Once again it’ll all come down to the Block Buster!
