Kelvin Fletcher confirms lasting friendship from Emmerdale – with cheeky comment
Former Emmerdale stars Kelvin Fletcher and Adam Thomas reunited this weekend, confirming their lasting friendship away from the soap. The pair, who played Andy Sugden and Adam Barton, respectively, haven’t shared the screen since 2016
Following their departure from the Dales, the stars have both pursued other projects, with Fletcher and his family becoming first-time farmers, while the Thomas brothers – Adam, Ryan and Scott – launched their own podcast.
Despite their busy schedules, the friends have still managed to stay in touch.
Last Saturday, Fletcher appeared on the celebrity edition of Deal or No Deal, lending his support to contestants Adam and Ryan, who were there to raise money for their chosen charity.
Presenter Stephen Mulhern welcomed him onto the show, before asking how long he’d known the brothers.

Fletcher replied: “A long time. A long time. Ryan since I was about 10-years-old. I worked with Adam in Emmerdale. They’ve been up a few times [to the farm] with the kids.”
He cheekily added: “Just come for a bit of a day out. Make a mess, and then go… they’re not there to help me clear up!”

Adam was also cheered on by fellow Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy, who played Tricia Dingle until 1998.
Ryan, who briefly reprised his role as Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street last year, was supported by his on-screen mother Sue Cleaver, who played Eileen Grimshaw.
Elsewhere, Fletcher has filmed four seasons and three Christmas specials of his show Fletcher’s Family Farm, which documents his agricultural journey with his wife Liz Marsland and their four young children.
