Emmerdale’s Dawn Can’t Hide Her Jealousy as Billy Moves On With Gabby
She dumped Billy Fletcher for another man — so why can't Dawn let him go? Next week on Emmerdale, the green-eyed monster comes out in full force as Dawn watches Billy's blossoming romance with Gabby Thomas, and she's doing everything she can to make life difficult for the new couple.

Dawn Fletcher made her choice. She walked away from Billy and chose Joe Tate. So why is she now struggling to watch her ex-husband be happy with someone else? That’s the question gripping Emmerdale fans ahead of next week’s episodes, as Dawn’s jealousy bubbles dangerously close to the surface.
“Billy deserves some happiness after what Dawn did,” an insider close to the show reveals. “His relationship with Gabby Thomas is blossoming, although there have been some teething troubles. But it seems if Dawn can’t have Billy, no one can!”
Dawn’s Attempt to Control the Situation
Unable to simply let things be, Dawn goes straight to Gabby with a request: don’t tell Clemmie and Lucas about the romance just yet. She frames it as protecting the kids from being unsettled — but Gabby isn’t buying it for a second.
Gabby bristles at the audacity. She’s Billy’s girlfriend, not his ex-wife’s employee. The idea that Dawn gets to dictate what happens in their relationship is not sitting well, and resentment starts building fast.

Clemmie Finds Out Anyway
Despite Dawn’s best efforts, the secret doesn’t last. Clemmie spots Billy and Gabby kissing — and suddenly Dawn’s careful plan falls apart. She’s forced to confirm what the kids now already suspect: yes, Billy and Gabby are together.
The response? Clemmie takes it completely in her stride. She’s unbothered, even a little pleased that Billy has found someone. But Dawn? Dawn can barely keep it together. She tries to mask it, but the pain is written all over her face.

Gabby’s Battles From Within
Even without Dawn’s interference, Gabby is dealing with her own turmoil. Her food anxiety is spiralling — and it’s starting to affect more than just herself. She even goes so far as to ban Thomas from attending a children’s birthday party because of what’s on the menu. It’s a moment that raises eyebrows, and signals that something deeper is going on.
The show’s producer has spoken candidly about where this storyline is heading: “It’s going to be a big story for Gabby, where we delve into the dark side of obsessive healthy eating. She lost Vinny and then being pushed away by Ross makes her start to become a little bit more obsessive about controlling what she eats. And while initially it’ll just look like healthy eating, we’ll see how an obsession can start to go wrong.”

So Billy’s new romance has two very different threats circling it — one from outside in the form of a jealous ex, and one from within, as Gabby battles insecurities she’s barely keeping the lid on. Whether this relationship can survive both remains to be seen.
One thing is certain: Dawn Fletcher made her bed. The question is whether she can actually lie in it while watching someone else sleep beside Billy.
